1. assure是及物动词,可接名词或代词(不可接that从句)作简单宾语。
2. assure可接双宾语,这时表物的宾语须由介词of引出; 表人的宾语如置于表物的宾语后,则须由介词to(而非for)引出,如置于表物的宾语之前,则不必搭配介词。
3. assure后接表物的宾语时,可由that从句或动词不定式充当。

1. assure指“使……确信”，不是指“确信”，因此，在使用时要注意在前面加上助动词。

   我确信他很诚实。

   I am assured that he is honest.
   不可以直接说I assure his honesty。

2. 涉及到“保险”时，我们习惯用insure，而不是assure，如insure her car。不过assure也有指“保险”的意思，如assure her life指“为她保人寿险”；
3. 在指“确保”时，ensure的用法比assure更加普遍。

4. Life assurance通常是指到了指定日期或死亡所支付的特定金额的保险，而insurance通常带一定的风险性，若是在指定的日期内没有死亡，过了那个日期死亡的话，是不会得到保险赔偿的。
